American Legion Savannah Georgia Real Wedding

Are you struggling trying to select just the right place for your wedding? You can't decide if you want it inside or outside? On a beach or in a church? Well, why not consider having both the wedding and the reception at the same place. It will make it easier on you and your guests. If you think that you are losing quality, then think again. When Mary and Jere got married at the American Legion Hall in Savannah, Georgia they did just that and the details made their wedding extra special. First of all, let's talk about why they selected this venue. Believe it or not, this was where they first met in the bar area. During the reception, they even stole a few moments to recapture the speak that turned into a flame. How special is that? You may have a place that has special significance for you and it might be ideal for your wedding venue.

Even though they exchanged their vows and had the reception in the same place, the grounds were wonderful. The bridal party as well as the guests could go outside and relax in between. You will want to look for a venue that offers this kind of versatility if you decide to have both the wedding and reception in the same place.

The bridal party was also not dressed over the top either. The bride wore a lovely white gown with a broach and only wore earrings. She did not wear a veil. The groom wore a shirt, tie and vest as did his groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore short dresses.

The cake was absolutely daring and definitely fit the theme of their nuptials. It had two tiers with a  couple of birds in a nest on top. Too cute and definitely original.

Their decor was definitely on point. From the mason jar vases to the birdhouse to the wreath made of cotton, they took extra care to make you feel at home. They even used placards for the table announcements.

If you were fretting about finding a reception location close to the wedding venue, consider having both at the same place. As you can see, it makes planning easier and you can still have the special day that you always dreamed of.
