Australia is a beautiful country to visit! My best friend, Stephanie and I began this trip by visiting the Great Barrier Reef. By doing so, you first need to fly into Cairns which is a sweet little town far north of Queensland. We wanted to see as much as we could with the Great Barrier Reef since it's sadly heading towards extinction. Even though we don't have our scuba diving license, our tour was able to teach us how to scuba dive which was the most perfect way to get up close and personal with the reefs and swim with the fish. Another place that we visited in Australia was Kuranda, a rainforest village also located far north of Queensland. We took the Kuranda railway train up to the village. The train was was enjoyable and scenic with lush greenery surrounding you. When arriving to the village, we walked around the town and small shops. We took the skyrail back down and it gave us a nice aerial perspective.
Lastly, we made our way to Sydney where we visited the Opera House. A great way to Sydney and the Opera House is to take the ferry which will take you all around the water giving you different perspectives. One of my favorite visits was the Rose Garden and Pavilion since it had all sorts of colorful flowers and foliage. It's definitely worth taking your camera there! One of our most memorable meals was having high tea at The Tea Room QVB, locates in the Queen Victoria building. The food was delicious and not to mention the food presentation on fine china was picture worthy. We visited the Wild Life Sydney Zoo which features animals unique to Australia. We loved visiting the adorable kangaroos and koala bears! Australia is a beautiful city full of activity and food. I wish we had more time to see more parts of Australia so I'll definitely be back one day!
