Butterfly Wedding Inspiration
Butterfly Wedding Inspiration.
The life of a butterfly is metamorphic, defined by its transformative beauty and it’s this illustrious creature that is ensconced in 17th century Dutch still life paintings. As an ode to this art form and the intriguing beauty of the insect, this styled shoot takes us back in time with a wedding vision that is nostalgic and natural.
Alluring butterflies perch on an antique mannequin dressed in a beaded gown. And they accompany the bride’s beaded peep toe heels. But it’s their vivid wings that serve as the greatest source of inspiration. Mimicking their beauty, grand purple statement earrings are the bride’s best accessory.
But even the remarkable décor and tablescape can’t outshine the 19th century daguerreotype technique the photographer employs to take authentic vintage photos. These truly eclectic shots, combined with real life butterflies, create a scene that balances the opulent with the fragile.
A black fondant-covered cake is embellished with bright florals and fruit. Similarly, the bride’s bouquet echoes the lively hues with blooms that span the color spectrum.
