Charlotte NC Wedding From Alicia White Photography. If you can't decide on the color palette for your wedding, just do what Charlotte, North Carolina, couple Laura and Aaron did “ use multiple colors! In this texture-covered affair, several complementary colors were used to create a classy, preppy design.
Bride Laura looked glamorous on her big day. She wore a one-shoulder dress with beading along the neckline. It was designed with ruching from top to bottom and created a flattering silhouette. She wore a statement bangle on her wrist and delicate chandelier earrings as accessories. Walking down the aisle, she wore a waist-length veil and carried a lively bouquet full of orange and fuchsia flowers with small touches of succulents.
Groom Aaron also incorporated the navy blue stripe in his look with a statement tie. He donned a gray suit for his wedding day and had a bright orange boutonniere on his lapel.
Like many couples these days, these two also chose for a first-look moment before the ceremony. Bride Laura looked glamorous on her big day.
This couple wanted to make sure their attendants looked fabulous, as well! Laura's eight dearest wore navy knee-length dresses with a stylish bow accent. And since coral is such a great accent color to navy, they wore comfortable coral-colored wedges. And because Laura wanted to offer something different besides flowers, bridesmaids carried clutches in various navy and white patterns. What a fun, flirty idea!
Aaron's groomsmen wore gray suits and wore navy and white ties in a different pattern, to differentiate slightly from the groom. This was a handsome group of guys!
Arm in arm with her father, Laura walked down an aisle lined with brightly colored flowers and small vases hung with navy blue ribbon “ a common element throughout the day, to the tunes of a saxophonist. Under a gazebo in front of family and friends, the couple said I do in the soft sunlight.
The group then made their way across the grounds of the renovated Alexander Homestead for a reception in the estate's reconstructed Dairy Barn. Inside the charming structure were rows and rows of round tables topped with navy blue linens, white votives and arrangements made with the same vivid flowers and greenery. Twinkle lights lined the walls and the ceiling held white lanterns. With all the light brought into the space, the building lit up beautifully as the sun started to set.
The couple chose to have a cupcake tower for guests and fittingly, each cupcake was baked in a navy blue and white striped wrapper. With a few orange flowers, this charming display was the perfect addition to the laidback atmosphere.
Laura wanted to let loose after the formalities so she changed into a shorter white dress for the reception. It featured a navy blue belt with a small embellishment and still had the similar one-shoulder design. It was fun and functional!
Possibilities are endless when it comes to the design of a wedding. Pick a color you both love and run with it, even if it's in many different directions. This couple showed us that you really can have it all on your wedding day, in more ways than one! Congratulations to Laura and Aaron!
