Charlottesville Virginia Wedding
Charlottesville Virginia Wedding. Becca and Kevin planned a resplendent wedding at The Market at Grelen in Charlottesville, Va. With a unique twist on florals, delightful outdoor setting and the appearance of quirky attire, their wedding was crisp, verdant and refreshingly fun.
The color palette centered around shades of green, blue and white. Their invitation suite perfectly encompassed their wedding vision with classic font and a delicate, leafy design.
Becca’s bridal style was modern and sophisticated. She wore lace heels and accessorized with emerald and diamond stud earrings. But the showstopper was her custom Amsale wedding gown, featuring a modern silhouette and sheer back.
The floral design was also modern and inventive. With more greenery than flowers, Becca’s florist created arrangements that were full of ferns, baby eucalyptus, ruscus and more – finished with wide silk ribbons.
Kevin is a member of the Air Force, Kevin wore his dress uniform on his wedding day. For their first look moment, Becca approached from behind and surprised Kevin as he turned around.
The couple then took photos with their bridal party. Becca’s bridesmaids all wore long floral-inspired gowns that mirrored the wedding theme.
Kevin and his groomsmen, all in the military, looked like a dashing, polished group.
But for fun, they took off their military coats and showed off the colorful shirts they wore underneath. Of course, they shared a few laughs over the look.
In the tranquil garden setting, the bride and groom shared a few quiet moments before the ceremony.
With the Blue Ridge Mountains as their backdrop, the couple created a ceremony space on the lawn, making an aisle with plush floral arrangements and large glass vases.
They exchanged vows with the sun illuminating their faces and couldn’t wait to walk back down the aisle as husband and wife.
After taking a few photos as the newly minted “Mr. and Mrs.,” they joined their guests under a sprawling white tent for the reception. Escort cards consisted of small personalized envelopes filled with wildflower seeds for guests to take home and plant.
The natural and crisp look streamed into the reception. Gray linens were adorned with white place settings, wooden candleholders and small floral touches.
Using the florals as inspiration, the wedding cake was a simple white creation with the addition of greenery on each tier and the couple’s monogram in the center.
As the evening fell, string lights illuminated the top of the clear tent. After dining and dancing under the stars, Becca and Kevin exited amid a flurry of sparklers.
The outdoor wedding took advantage of The Market at Grelen’s natural beauty to inspire a refreshing, crisp theme. This event was stylish yet timeless, fun yet fabulous. Becca and Kevin made their dreams a reality with the help of a little Virginia magic.
