Cinco De Mayo San Antonio Texas Real Wedding
A great way to assist with your wedding planning is if your big day is on or around a holiday. When Jennifer and James got married their theme focused on Cinco de Mayo. This was a great choice since their wedding was taking place in San Antonio, Texas and they had met in Miami, Florida.
They wanted their wedding to feature the bright colors of Cinco de Mayo so the bouquets had vibrant blooms. The theme also influenced the decor in the reception as well as props that were used throughout the day.
For example, this is an eco-friendly couple. They chose a reception venue that was only 1.5 blocks from the church to encourage their guests to walk rather than drive. The bridal party also walked and either wore or carried sombreros. I am sure it was quite a sight for the patrons shopping in downtown San Antonio that day.
The ensembles of the bridal party were also influenced by the theme. The bridesmaids dresses were beautiful purple gowns which was a perfect selection since the color was so vibrant.
The bride's strapless gown was gorgeous and Jennifer was stunning as her hair flowed over her shoulders. Her jewelry choice was perfect. The diamond earrings with matching necklace were a great complement for her dress. The groom would not be outdone. He wore a black suit with a gold bow tie. He also had a gold handkerchief in his pocket.
The theme continued to the reception. They had gold plates as part of the place setting and the guests had their names on placards attached to maracas. It so inventive and creative.
This was a festive wedding in more than one way. As you can see, a holiday can help make your wedding planning easier. If you have a date that is close to a holiday, embrace it. Use it. You will have a wedding that you will never forget.
