Classic Missouri Art Deco Styled Wedding Shoot
Classic Missouri Art Deco Styled Wedding Shoot. Stylistically, many akin the 1920s to art deco. This brazen, yet timeless style is something many have come to embrace for weddings and special events. For this styled shoot at The Conservatory in Missouri, the couple takes a classic journey through an art deco experience, complete with grandeur, elegance, and sophistication. The entire shoot took place outside in the gardens. The groom looked picture-perfect in a crisp black tuxedo, matching black bowtie, and white pocket-square. He slicked his hair to the side and flashes a gorgeous smile.
The bride wears a stunning V-neck fit-and-flare gown, complete with lots of artistic beading. To complete her most appropriate look, she wears glamorous makeup, including a red lip, and tops her coiffed hairstyle off with a gorgeous Gatsby-inspired headpiece.
The flowers incorporated in this shoot consist mostly of white flowers for a clean, immaculate look. White lilies, roses, peonies, and ingenious white anemones really set the arrangements over the top.
The couple make a striking image underneath a flower-strewn arbor. Standing next to the groom, the bride grabs a light-colored fur wrap to cover her shoulders and takes the elegance factor up another notch.
Vintage furniture and decor definitely contribute to the style of this shoot. Dark red, black, white, and gold all seamlessly combine in the various pieces to create an exquisite scene.
No detail was left out in the design of the head table.
Flowers cover the center of the table with vintage gold candleholders and surprising black tapers on both sides. They pair well with the black table linens and assortment of gold and gray chairs.
Above the table is an elegant canopy spanning all sides of the space. Greenery and soft panels of fabric create quite the conversation piece above. Tall gold candelabras stand behind the table for additional glow and shimmer.
The couple sit down to beautiful place settings made with crystal stemware, silver flatware, and black, white, and gold plates.
The cake is quite the focal point. A three-tier mint green cake features gold art deco details, all on top of a gold cake plate. The pop of color is a welcome addition to the classic color palette.
And of course, no extravagant affair could be complete without an amazing ride. This white Rolls Royce makes the perfect getaway car!
The 1920s is synonymous with lavish celebrations, glittering details, and lots of fun. This styled shoot shows even in 2015, you can have an art deco-inspired wedding that will rival any from the past.
