Destination Wedding in Positano
Destination Wedding in Positano.
Brittany and Mike's wedding was an incredible few days, soaked in the essence of the Amalfi coast. For their engagement shoot, Brittany and Mike hired a boat to take them, along with their families, on a tour of Capri. They got a chance to visit the Blue Grotto, explore the island, and take in all of the beauty of the coast. For their rehearsal/welcome dinner, they treated everyone to a dinner at La Tagliata, a restaurant high atop the cliffs with stunning views, delicious food, and a band of singers and musicians singing Italian favorites like "Volare". There was no shortage of laughter or joy, that is for sure!

On the day of the wedding, Brittany, her family, and her best friends got ready at a boutique hotel overlooking the coast, then paraded through the streets to the cathedral Sancta Maria de Assunta where their intimate gathering of 45 guests awaited (many tourists popped in to watch their union taking place as well, however). After the ceremony, everyone piled into boats and took a half an hour boat ride to the Conca Del Sogno, tucked into the cliffs of nearby Massa Lubrense. The open air restaurant was simple and stunning, and luckily the weather cooperated because there was no plan B for rain! After dancing their first dance to Ellie Goulding's cover of "Your Song", then laughing and crying with their family over celebratory toasts, the evening culminated in the staff of Conca del Sogno making their famous Sgroppino in an intense and delightful show of mixology set to music. They were clapping, standing on chairs, and Prosecco was flying everywhere- the party was set to begin! After that, everyone danced the night away, and the two began their happily ever after.
Brittany and Mike, a pair of high school sweethearts are a loving, adventurous couple whom everyone adores. So when they got engaged in Positano, and a boat tour guide pointed to an outdoor oceanside restaurant nestled into a cliff and said "you two should get married there", they said "Okay!" And that was that. And so began their intimate destination wedding in Positano, brimming with love and adventure.
