Don't be Blue Without Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board
One of the questions brides are asked a lot during wedding planning is “what are your colors?†For some brides, it’s a matter of practicality but for others, it’s a chance to show off some personality and flair. Why not answer with something that will surprise? Bright blue and mustard yellow are a dynamite combination and this cake proves why. The colors have a perfect complement with burnt orange. The layers resemble beautiful mosaic artwork, with two in blue and two in yellow. They are adorned with yellow and orange poppies on the side.
A bride can incorporate these colors in many ways that isn’t overwhelming to the eye. You can use splashes of poppy or cornflower in the bouquet, infuse the color into the font of your invitation suite, and incorporate it into the details of your table linens and candle votives at the reception.
You can also encourage your bridal party to wear these, as well. Try having bridesmaids wear dresses in these warm hues or jewelry to accent a more neutral color. Groomsmen can don ties in blue or yellow that is complementary to the bouquets and boutonnieres.
Think about the many ways a bride can personalize the look and feel of the wedding day and let the colors flow. Because this combination is so unique and dynamic, a bride would only have to incorporate it in a few small and smart ways to create a matchless display.
