Greek Olive Wedding Shoot Featured

Wedding inspiration can arise anywhere. This olive-influenced shoot came about from a visit to a New York Greek food market where the selection of olives stretched a 10-foot display. Leaning on that initial creative spark, the shoot incorporates additional culinary staples of Greek culture.

The bride dons a long-sleeve embroidered gown with a high neck and sheer details.

Accessories befitting for this bride include a delicate floral crown and small hair embellishments accompanied by a traditional veil.

The tablescape boasts old-world charm with homemade flavors from sourdough bread, olive oil, and a plate of Greek pastries known as glykismata. One particular palatable accessory is the komoboloi, or Greek worry bread, which is the perfect stress-reliever for any bride-to-be.

For the purposes of this shoot, olives aren’t just for tasting; they’re incorporated in several ways throughout the shoot for a seamless design. Small olive stems are intertwined in the guests’ place cards. Trays of olives are an appetizing addition to the linen-covered table.

The arrangement comes full circle with metallic gold enhancements by way of gold-rimmed plates and a runner of gold flower vases. Vintage glassware is added for an elegant touch to complete the table transformation.
