Hong Kong Wedding at The Verandah
Hong Kong Wedding at The Verandah. Wendy and Ivan’s Hong Kong wedding was an intimate, sunlight-filled affair with a serene outdoor ceremony and sophisticated reception. Verandah made the occasion exquisite with its picture-perfect landscaping and gorgeous interior spaces.
Everything about their wedding was light and delicate, including the invitation suite. It featured a simple white and brown palette with an illustration of the venue.
Wendy was a gorgeous bride in two distinct dresses. Her first dress for the ceremony featured an A-line silhouette with thin straps and a flowing train.
Her bridesmaids all wore long fluttery blush-colored dresses with various necklines and classic updos.
The groom, Ivan, wore a gray tuxedo with a sleek black tie. His groomsmen coordinated with white shirts, gray vests and black pants. And of course, cool shades.
Wendy’s classic bridal style was extended through her white and blush bouquet, long pearl earrings and white heels.
Photographed in front of a classic white car, she was the picture of timeless elegance.
Ivan joined his bride for an intimate photo shoot where they even hopped inside the car for a few romantic shots.
The car was beautifully embellished with a floral wreath and a “Just Married” message in the back window.
The couple incorporated their love of all things fun by setting up a giant Jenga on the lawn for guests to enjoy.
They wed outside in front of a fabric-draped arbor anchored by tall floral arrangements and two wine barrels. They sang their favorite song to one another and even shared the story of how they met. Ivan lifted Wendy’s delicate veil at the end of the ceremony to kiss his bride.
For the reception, both the bride and groom changed their looks. While Ivan transformed into a sleek black tuxedo, perfect for an evening reception, Wendy amped up the sophistication in a beaded evening gown and headband.
Their colorful centerpieces and accents were balanced with the crisp white chairs and linens in the relaxed veranda, providing the perfect vantage point for one final kiss.
Wendy planned this simple but sweet wedding herself and the result was nothing short of exquisite. From the floral backgrounds to the stylish attire, everything was tasteful, sophisticated and fun – just like the couple themselves.
