Indiana War Memorial Plaza Engagement

For their engagement session, Elyse and Phil chose the Indiana War Memorial Plaza in downtown Indianapolis. Not only is this location full of honor but the neo-classical architecture is picturesque and timeless, much like the couple, themselves. On a bright sunny day, Elyse and Phil make their way to the plaza. Elyse wears a charming white dress, brown fringe booties, and bright green earrings with a matching statement necklace. Phil chooses a light blue jacket, white shirt, and black pants. Their light and casual looks are a stylish complement to the location.

As they take a few shots standing nearly cheek-to-cheek, the Indianapolis skyline can be seen in the distance.

Up close, the photographer captures their beaming smiles and excitement, a testament to their wonderful relationship and how they simply glow around one another.

The bride’s engagement ring is displayed on the granite steps of the plaza. Its stunning art-deco design is breathtaking.

Phil strikes a stoic pose but in an instant, is laughing and embracing the humor in the situation.

Elyse kept her hair and makeup simple. Her blonde locks are loosely curled and she wears a flattering natural makeup palette.

An impressive characteristic of this memorial is the bronze doors. Phil and Elyse stand in front of one of them as it glistens in the sun.

They find shade under a nearby tree and pause on the steps. Wrapped in Phil’s arms, Elyse gives one last knowing glance at the camera, a beautiful final shot to their day in downtown Indianapolis.

Elyse and Phil’s engagement session was simple –they found an iconic and historic landmark in the city that they love and let its beauty and enduring presence help them create a personalized engagement session.
