Isle of Palms Wedding Venue

Isle of Palms Wedding Venue.

Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, isn’t just a great vacation destination—it’s an amazing wedding destination, too! We spent a day exploring the resort and were delighted at the seemingly endless amenities they provide, including ceremony and reception venues, dining options, on-site activities, and more. From a formal affair to flip flops in the sand, Wild Dunes Resort has the resources to make any event flawless and a space to suit every style. And it’s all set against the backdrop of the beautiful South Carolina coastline.

The resort is just a short drive from Charleston and the property boasts many of its charms, including lush plant life and a variety of buildings in bright, pastel colors.

Wild Dunes has many ceremony venues for couples looking for something specific to their wedding needs. For outdoor ceremonies, the resort has croquet lawns for intimate settings, its Grand Pavilion for more lavish affairs, and of course, a beautiful stretch of beach for those looking to put their toes in the sand. They even offer lighting options, like café lighting over the pool or tiki torches on the beach, to give your wedding a special glow.

For indoor receptions and celebrations, Wild Dunes Resort has spaces like the enchanting Sweetgrass Pavilion Ballroom and the Boardwalk Inn Club Room. The Boardwalk Inn is the premiere hotel at Wild Dunes Resort and is a convenient location for your guests’ accommodations.

We found the resort makes it easy for couples to cater their events. They offer a wide variety of food options on-site such as barbecue, pasta, oysters, and of course, the quintessentially Southern shrimp and grits. Depending on your event, they can do stations, buffets, elegant plated dinners and even day-after brunches for your guests before they leave.

The most surprising thing we realized on our visit is Wild Dunes has a plethora of activities on-site to help you and your guests have fun, such as golf, tennis, fishing, biking, spa relaxation and much more. You can even plan excursions!

But our favorite spot, of course, was the beach. One can enjoy panoramic ocean views from just about everywhere at the resort or you can take a short stroll and step off of the boardwalk straight onto the sand. Whether it’s for your ceremony or for some quiet time afterwards, there’s nothing quite like taking in the cotton candy skies of a sunset in South Carolina.

The best part: once the wedding is over, you’re already in a pretty great spot to kick back and relax, too!
