Jane Austen Inspired Wedding Shoot
Jane Austen Inspired Wedding Shoot.
This styled shoot from Arizona’s Wright House was inspired by one of England’s preeminent writers – Jane Austen. The themes and richness of her work, exclusively Pride and Prejudice, influenced the story behind this shoot in countless ways. We witness a present-day intimate elopement, enhanced with design, fashion and emotion as if it was born straight from Austen’s imagination.
With a lovely simplicity, the invitation suite is merely parchment pieces dressed with handwritten script and a hand-drawn flower.
From neckline to hemline, the bride’s gown is lace. It features a notable high neckline in the back that reminds us of designs from centuries past.
Her antique-inspired heels are darling. These beauties include ankle straps and petite fabric roses.
Pressed flowers are a small characteristic seen throughout the shoot, as a nod to the importance of gardens in Austen’s novels.
The morning of the elopement is quiet and offers the bride a chance for reflection. She, along with her groom, write love letters that eventually turn into the vows they recite.
She appears from the wrought-iron garden entrance and joins her groom on the steps of the venue. He greets his bride wearing an old world-inspired gray suit complete with a cravat.
She even wears white gloves as she takes his arm and wanders through the house’s vivid gardens.
Their heartfelt ceremony takes place at the venue’s Garden Ballroom underneath its gorgeous gazebo. They face one another and recite words written on their hearts and exchange rings symbolizing forever.
After the intimate ceremony, they celebrate with their dearest friends surrounded by the venue’s lush gardens.
Ornate china is paired with an elegant table linen to add sophistication. Tall white taper candles project a romantic glow. And three charming centerpieces provide color.
Antique silver trays present mini fruit-topped pavlovas, raspberry and blueberry fruit tarts, and cucumber sandwiches.
The couple cuts into a petite naked cake fashioned with dusty rose-colored flowers - all displayed on a floral-inspired dessert table.
Tears, laughs and toasts reached every corner of this special day inspired by a timeless love story. The bride and groom quietly basked in their joy with a whimsical merriment. And with smiles written on their faces, they gently flipped the page to the next chapter.
