Lewiston Michigan Wedding From Amy Carroll Photography
Lewiston Michigan Wedding From Amy Carroll Photography. Romantic, rustic weddings have been very popular in recent years and probably because it's a natural, relaxed way to celebrate your nuptials. For Michigan couple Liz and Ken, a countryside ceremony and reception at the Garland Lodge Resort in Lewiston was the ideal vision for their wedding day.
There is something that will always be timeless and classic about lace. No matter what trend is in style, lace will never go out. Liz incorporated lace details throughout her wedding day, including her gown. She ascended the day with a trumpet-style dress, covered in lace from the neckline to the hem. She embellished the style with a gray waistband, a nod to a consistent color throughout the day. Her veil, which also had a lace hem on it, complemented her soft curls. The bridal bouquet had lace tied around the stems with a vintage cameo detail. But don't think she didn't have a trick up her sleeve because underneath the hem of her dress were a pair of lemony yellow heels waiting to be revealed.
Her bridesmaids coordinated in strapless gray chiffon dresses and added a little touch of flair with a necklace that tied together with bright yellow ribbon. This was an adorable, yet modest touch that incorporated the fun color Liz adored. All the bouquets, including the brides, were bundles of white and green hydrangea, and yellow craspedia buds.
The couple were married in front of friends and family under a simple white arbor, surrounded by mason jars filled with flowers, set up high on hand-cut logs and small, wooden crates. The 200 year-old maple trees in the surrounding environment were one of the many high lights of the venue because the breathtaking height was not only an exclusive detail but certainly photo-worthy for Liz and Ken.
The groom looked ever the dapper gentleman with a three-piece gray suit, white shirt and gray-striped tie. His boutonniere also included bright yellow craspedia buds to match his bride's bouquet.
The reception was a charming display of personality and love. Liz and Ken thought of everything, from small jars of honey as favors to personalized, photo-bedecked embroidery hoops serving as table numbers. Romantic tea light candles and small flower arrangements created an air of intimacy and relaxation. A unique touch was a trail mix bar the couple opened up after dinner.

Along with cupcakes, this was the perfect ending to a beautiful and natural Michigan wedding.
Liz and Ken's wedding day couldn't have been any more beguiling and breathtaking in this gem of a location. We wish this couple all the happiness in the world and if their special day is any indication, their marriage will be beautiful and effortless for many years to come. Lewiston Michigan Wedding
