Louisville Kentucky Wedding
Louisville Kentucky Wedding.
After meeting in New York, it didn't take long for Lizzy and Andy to know they wanted to be together, despite the fact that Andy would soon be moving to London for work. After several flights across the Atlantic, Lizzy moved to England to be with her love and took an internship with an interior design firm. Shortly after that, the two were engaged to be married.
With the bride from upstate New York, and the groom from Kentucky, they began weighing their options of where to wed. They ultimately decided to be married in Goshen, Kentucky, with the reception at the Lodge on Andy’s family farm and a ceremony at the same church in Louisville where his parents where married.
With Lizzy’s natural eye for style and detail, she knew she wanted a classic and romantic look that would still be reflective of Kentucky, the farm, and also incorporate the Fleur des Lis, a symbol of Louisville. Subtle yet elegant linens from La Tavola were selected. Chargers on farm tables were accented with the fleur des lis pattern while others sported a modern gold rim. Guest seating assignments were given on custom engraved copper mule mugs and all enjoyed a refreshing Kentucky mule made with small batch Kentucky bourbon. Florals were soft, delicate and natural, with many elements foraged from the farm.
