Luxury Shoot at The Watson House
Kelly Faetanini’s “Gwendolyn” gown was the inspiration behind this luxury shoot at the Watson House in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. The luxurious, golden impression gave way to other areas of brilliant creativity, transforming this darling venue from charming to chic. This invitation suite from Wedding Paper Divas also tied in to the desired look of the shoot. Its floral-inspired design mirrored the look of the gown perfectly, allowing for two completely different elements to come together in a most attractive way.
These golden lace heels looked utterly idyllic with the bride’s gown.
The bride showcases the strapless, sweetheart neckline gown. Her long dark hair flies carefree through the breeze and her only accessory is a pair of statement earrings.
The touch that makes this dress so unique is its regal detachable skirt. The bride enjoys it as she stands on the patio outside.
To offset the golden hues, the bride holds an ingenious bouquet of blue and white flowers, along with assorted greenery, thistle, and dusty miller.
For added sophistication, she wears a traditional veil and holds it in place with a modern tiara.
Another look shows the removal of the veil with the golden tiara atop her head, for a seamless tie-in to the gown.
There are many spots at the Watson House for which to photograph. The vintage doors make for a lovely focal point around the bride and her immaculate gown.
A natural wooden table with dark wooden chivari chairs creates a classic reception scene.
The table design ties in the blue flowers from the bride’s bouquet and accompanies the stunning centerpiece with a white table runner, gold candleholders, and vintage blue china.
The bride’s flowery style is brought in to the tablescape, creating a seamless theme throughout the scene.
And speaking of theme, the wedding cake is a floral masterpiece! Looking as if its design was plucked straight from the bride’s gown, it features three fondant-covered tiers. Each tier has a gold band at its base and is sporadically covered with gold flower embellishments.
For a unique twist on dessert table ideas, the cake rests on an antique dresser, complete with a floral arrangement at its side.
The patio’s fireplace is dressed up with a lovely floral arrangement. The bride shows off her signature style before heading inside.
She has fun with the veil and tiara before making her way upstairs in the estate.
In the powder-blue bathroom, she examines her reflection in the nearby mirror, proving that the back of her gown is just as alluring as the front.
This luxury shoot combines Southern charm and high fashion all in one inspiring location. With the floral inspiration from Kelly Faetanini’s latest creation and the perfect invitations from Wedding Paper Divas, this shoot was bound to be nothing short of a flowering success.
