Modern Art Museum Charlotte NC Wedding
Jorge and Kristilyn are high school sweethearts so tying the knot in their hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, was a no-brainer. They were united in a ceremony at Jorge’s church and celebrated at 220 North Tryon at Foundation for the Carolinas, a unique venue that not only boasts a rooftop terrace and solarium but quite the amazing art collection!
Kristilyn and Jorge chose to have a first look moment before the ceremony so they could capture photos before the busy day began. With stunning and shimmering heels on her feet, Kristilyn wore a beautiful ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, ruched bodice, and beaded highlight at the waist.
She ascended the grand steps to Jorge, dressed in a black tuxedo with gray tie. He turned around and affectionately hugged his soon-to-be-wife.
They snuck into the church library for formal portraits. What an incredible backdrop! Kristilyn looked like a classic beauty, while Jorge looked every bit the handsome groom.
The couple retreated back into the sanctuary with their bridal party for more photos.
Kristilyn’s bridesmaids wore long light gray dresses with high beaded necklines. Each lady also carried a stunning all-white bouquet, just like the bride.
Jorge and his groomsmen had fun with their photos. They laughed, they talked, but most importantly, they showed off their snazzy patriotic socks!
The couple were wed in a traditional ceremony in front of their beloved friends and family.
As they exited the ceremony, one could feel the sense of happiness and joy through the smiles that swept across the faces of the new Mr. and Mrs.
The reception featured a color palette of white and soft pink and guests first found their seats through a glittering handmade display.
The couple balanced out the modern feel of the venue with the flowers and décor. Pink table linens, gold chivari chairs, and tall white rose centerpieces added a soft elegance to the room.
Shorter centerpieces of hydrangea, pink roses, and dusty miller were surrounded by candlelight and accompanied the silver-framed table numbers.
Jorge and Kristilyn’s seats were instantly recognizable. Their chairs featured scripted “Mr.” and “Mrs.” signs hung from the back.
Their cake was nothing short of classic. It was beautiful with its two simple tiers, pearl bands, and dainty topper of white and pink roses and of course, baby’s breath. The cake table featured wedding photos from family members and a beautiful textured rosette linen.
Jorge and Kristilyn used every amazing feature of the venue. They snuck outside for some photos and had their first dance near the grand windows overlooking the city’s impressive buildings.
They even took some photos with some of the venue’s treasured artwork.
After dances and toasts, the Carolina couple surprised their guests with a special, hot and delicious Krispy Kreme delivery. This sweet treat surely gave guests a sugar rush, ready to celebrate the night through.
What a beautiful mix of classic and contemporary to bring together one of life’s most cherished events. For Jorge and Kristilyn, their wedding was a dream placed in their hearts long ago. And now, the dream has finally been realized through a stunning and art-filled affair.
