Simplicity does not mean boring or drab. Simplicity can be elegant. When Kate and Richard got married in California, it was beautiful. It was an outdoor affair that simply celebrated their love without all of the over the top decor or ceremony.    

Kate looks like a dream as she walked down the aisle. Her flowing sleeveless gown with veil were so organic. Her jewelry was a simple necklace and drop earrings.Richard wore a gray suit and tie.

 

It is so beautiful as they exchanged their vows under the canopy. It was incredible as they communed with nature by the water or in the field. It was just breathtaking.

      

Her bridesmaids wore short navy blue dresses and the groomsmen were dressed like Richard except that they did not wear jackets.

   

However, after the simplicity of the ceremony they brought out the fine china for the reception.

  

The cake was so darling. The topper had the cutest couple. This couple celebrated into the night as string lights provided the lighting.

Kate and Richard showed that you can have an outdoor wedding that is both simple and elegant. It was a laid back affair for the most part but it had touches of elegance. It had a nice balance. They definitely created memories for a lifetime. We hope that this wedding will help you as you plan your wedding if you were thinking of having an outdoor affair.
