New Zealand Travel Photos.

I love New Zealand for it's outdoor adventures. When deciding on which part of New Zealand to visit (North or South), my best friend, Stephanie and I were torn. We had decided to visit the North part of New Zealand because visiting Hobbiton (where Lord of the Rings was filmed) was highly on our "must do" list. To get around the country, we rented a car which was a new adventure for us. The roads and driving is opposite from the USA so we were driving on the right side of the car and on the left side of the road. It took some getting used to but it made for a fun new experience! We got to visit Hobbiton which is about an hour long guided tour. We loved seeing the Hobbiton set in person because of how unique and hand-made everything was. It almost made you feel you were in a different world for a moment. Another place we really enjoyed visiting was Te Puia which is where there are active geysers. While the geysers may look pretty, the smell of sulfur surrounded the entire city but you do get used to it. While we didn't have much time in Auckland, we enjoyed a free Christmas concert and hung out like the locals. Next time we visit New Zealand, we'll be heading to the south part of the country!
