Northern California Wedding
Northern California Wedding.
Yvette and David planned a wedding day enveloped within the beauty of Northern California at the Ritz - Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Crisp modern details were interlaced with soft romantic touches to unfold into a bright and personalized experience. But with all of the stunning and sophisticated inclusions, it was their friends and family from around the world that made their wedding a day to remember.
Yvette and David first met on the dating app, Hinge, and bonded over a mutual obsession for basketball and the shared experience of growing up abroad. For them, everything “just made sense!” Friendship turned to love and before long, they were ready to say “I do.” The vision for their much-anticipated wedding day was simple and classic. This was achieved by incorporating a traditional wedding color palette of white and soft blush into many aspects of the design.
Yvette and her bridesmaids got ready together before the ceremony, donning matching robes and matching smiles.
Part of what made Yvette and David’s wedding day so special was the incorporation of a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony, as a “thank you” to their parents for everything they’ve done for them. Yvette shined in a beautiful red gown with unique lace detail.
For the wedding ceremony, the bride chose a pair of classic white heels with ankle straps to go with her jaw-dropping beaded gown, complete with long sleeves and a modern design.
Yvette complemented her gown with a chapel-length veil and a bouquet of assorted white, cream and blush roses. Her bridesmaids echoed her vision by donning contemporary blush pink bridesmaid dresses.
But it wasn’t just the ladies who looked great! David and his groomsmen pulled out all the stops for their looks, too. The groom made sure to include a stylish watch with matching cuff links and a bow tie for his special day.
The groomsmen looked sharp in their shades and black tuxedoes as they overlooked the ocean before the ceremony.
A trio of adorable flower girls was also ready to walk down the aisle and usher in the bride.
The courtyard was punctuated with glass vases and floral arrangements as guests descended on the ceremony.
Yvette was escorted down the aisle to her awaiting groom, standing underneath a romantic floral arbor.
The two exchanged vows in front of more than 140 guests before making their way indoors for the reception.
Many of the details guests saw at the reception were provided from loved ones of the couple. The groom’s sister, a world-class designer, created the menu, welcome book, and all of the paper details, and a sweet friend also provided the table signs, escort cards, and welcome signs.
Orchids added a serene, sophisticated touch as guests entered the ball room. Reception tables were outfitted with plush floral arrangements and delicious hors d’oeuvres to welcome guests to their seats.
Thanks to an illuminated curtain of blush fabric, the wedding cake was the focal point of the room. The four-tier design featured simple clean fondant bands and small collections of sugar lilies on each tier.
Under a heaven of white lanterns, Yvette and David shared their first dance as husband and wife.
The couple snuck out to take photos on the private beach below. Yvette kicked off her shoes and grabbed her new husband’s hand for a walk in the warm sand, knowing that forever has officially begun.
Yvette and David planned for a simple and classic wedding day and they achieved it masterfully with traditional wedding colors, ample flowers and tasteful touches. With the love and support of their friends and family, they celebrated with personal touches that made their wedding day completely their own. It just “makes sense” that this was the most perfect day of their lives!
