Palm Door Texas Real Wedding
Every wedding is special but Courtney and Collin’s DIY-filled day at the Palm Door in Austin, Texas, takes it to another level. The bride took care of much of the décor, as well as her accessories, marking this as truly a one-of-a-kind event. Courtney is an eclectic bride who isn’t afraid of color. She incorporated a rich wine color throughout the day that was rich and eye-catching. She also created many decorative aspects herself to place the hue front and center
For starters, Courtney dip-dyed her Steve Madden heels to coordinate with the statement color. The invitations were also dip-dyed to create an ombre effect.
Courtney’s dress was an ethereal V-neck gown with a lace neckline and long tiered skirt. She chose a dainty flower crown to adore her hair and wore natural, soft makeup.
Courtney’s bridesmaid dressed in a deep purple dress with a floral design. It paired perfectly with the bride’s choice of blooms, which included blush garden roses, burgundy dahlias, and dark burgundy scabiosa.
Collin coordinated with the wedding colors thanks to a sharp wine-colored tie. He wore a navy blue suit and a boutonniere made of greenery.
The couple took gorgeous photos in front of Austin’s famous blue tile wall. The mixture of cool colors along with the couple’s rich statement hue was impeccable.
The ceremony took place inside of Palm Door on Sabine, which is a unique urban-style loft that boasts white walls, an open floor place, and vaulted ceiling.
With guests seated in dark wooden chairs, the couple took their vows under a ceiling of string lights and in front of a unique hand-dyed backdrop that offered a pop of color.
After they were announced husband and wife, Courtney and Collin couldn’t contain their excitement.
The DIY touches continued at the reception where guests could enjoy the romantic glow from dip-dyed candles, which were accompanied with geometric pieces and sprigs of greenery.
The couple offered guests an array of naked cakes from which to enjoy. The centerpiece was the vanilla flavor with a “B” cake topper for the bride and groom.
The couple continued their day by taking artistic and unique photos together outside their venue. It was the perfect way to capture their spirited creativity and the love they have for one another.
Courtney knew exactly what she envisioned for her and Collin’s big day so she seized the opportunity to create it. And the result was a colorful and sentimental masterpiece. Congratulations, Courtney and Collin!
