When Chelsea and Ben laid eyes on the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Fla., it was the first and only venue they needed to see for their destination wedding. The exquisite architecture of the old Mediterranean mansion paired with the gorgeous Sarasota Bay sitting in the distance was the ideal backdrop for their classic, romantic wedding. And the gamble of planning an entire outdoor, un-tented event paid dividends well worth the risk.

One hundred-percent of the guests were from out of town. Chelsea and Ben chose a timeless invitation suite that combined the charming architecture of the venue and the timeless hues of their wedding vision to give their guests a glimpse into their vision.

Chelsea was a stunning and sophisticated bride. She got ready with her fun-loving bridesmaids before stepping into her strapless fit-and-flare gown. Her accessories included a delicate cathedral-length veil and dazzling champagne-colored heels.

Her bridesmaids beamed in delicate champagne-colored dresses that were perfect for the Florida weather.

Ben cut a handsome figure in his dark gray suit, white tie and brown shoes. His groomsmen coordinated in a lighter shade of gray and matching ties.

The couple’s trusted furry friend made sure not to miss their special day!

Chelsea was escorted down the aisle as the gentle sun began to set, where guests were seated at the estate’s beautiful Pavilion to witness the ceremony.

After exchanging vows, rings and kisses, the two were pronounced husband and wife. And they made sure to capture their joyful first few moments surrounded by the beauty of the estate.

Chelsea and Ben’s outdoor reception was a mix between formal, fun and fabulous!

They used a banquet mahogany farm head table with scatters of ivory florals and cylinder candle vases throughout the table-length garland.

Under a canopy of twinkle lights, guests were seated at round tables with champagne linens and cascading ivory and blush florals. Abundant candlelight and gold accents made their reception truly shine in the Sarasota sunset.

Guests dined and then danced the night away with the bride and groom. The band was a true source of entertainment, taking requests and performing the couple’s first dance song.

For Chelsea and Ben, finding their venue was one of those “when you know, you know” moments. The simple beauty of the Powel Crosley Estate - a beauty that required very little outside influence - was worth the travel. The magic of their special day confirmed they made the right choice – both in their wedding venue and as lifelong partners.
