Rustic Kiawah Island South Carolina Real Wedding
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle when you get married, why not consider exchanging your vows on an island? It is secluded and private. That's exactly what Ingrid and Jonathon did when they got married on Kiawah Island in South Carolina.Their wedding is truly reminiscent of a wedding from another era. It reminds me of a scene out from the old television show "Greenacres". Weddings were the major events of the year and everyone in the town was invited. There are so many things that you can do if you select a venue like this.
The bride just looks fantastic. Her gown is stunning. It is blend of traditional and modern which was the right selection for her wedding. The bodice has lace and capped sleeves. The strapless gowns are definitely more popular today. The embroidery on the dress is so beautiful and traditional but the design of the gown has a modern feel. Her hair is in an up do that is accented with a hair piece. She wore dangling earrings that had a design similar to the dress. She did not even wear a necklace which allowed her dress to stand out even more.
First let's look at the groom. His attire is perfect for the setting. The checkered shirt with suspenders are great. It just looks amazing to see him with all of the groomsmen. The bridesmaids blend in well with them. They wore short and long dresses that were not all the same. In the past, the bridal party simply wore their Sunday best. They did not have money to make dresses for every one to look the same. It is also unusual to see such a large bridal party but once again this was normal years ago.
The flowers in the bouquet as well as on the tables were simple but perfect. You don't need anything too elaborate for a wedding that is so relaxed. The color of the flowers matched the color scheme of the bridal party.
The wedding itself was so nice. It was overlooking a field. You really feel like you are out in the country and that there isn't another town for miles. As you look at the guests during the ceremony, you definitely see how this is reminiscent of a wedding from another era.
Once the pomp and circumstance was over, it was time to party. They really had a great time. They had an outdoor grill and everything. The bride wore sneakers so that she could dance. The bride and groom even played a duet on the guitar. There wasn't problem of making too much noise. This is the beauty of selecting a venue like this. If you want to have a wedding that is outside of the box, why not consider getting married on an island? The options for your nuptials are endless and it will let you create the wedding of your dreams.
