Saint Thomas Preservation Hall Wedding
Saint Thomas Preservation Hall Wedding. Built in 1846, St. Thomas Preservation Hall is a landmark set in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. For Amanda and Andrew, getting married inside this remarkable site was nothing short of history in the making.
With exposed brick walls and grand stained-glass windows, this venue projects antiquity and rustic charm. With her father by her side, Amanda walked through two large wooden doors down a center aisle to Andrew in a pair of sassy blush-colored heels. Her long, curled dark locks stood out next to her stark white veil. Her gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a fit-and-flare silhouette. It was crafted with lace, beaded fabric and figure flattering ruching. She carried a gorgeous bouquet of roses, arranged with various colors of light peach and dark coral.
The wedding party looked equally as handsome. The bridesmaids echoed the bride's bouquet with peach-colored dresses, all in different styles, and carried bouquets with orange and white flowers.
The groom and his groomsmen all coordinated with tan three-piece suits and white shirts. They accessorized their lapels with bright orange lilies.
After the couple said I do in front of a large crowd of family and friends, they took some time to steal away and take a few intimate photos. Underneath a beautiful Carolina sky, the two embraced and smiled before the festivities began.
Guests were invited to join the couple at 128 South, a popular reception venue also in Downtown Wilmington. It was the perfect second step of their wedding because this venue, too, has exposed brick walls that add to the ambiance to the affair. Tables were draped with tan and white linens, pink napkins and rustic wooden centerpieces, all surrounded by chocolate brown chairs.

Wilmington is known for its water-front presence but it's also a wonderful place rich in aged vestiges and culture. Amanda and Andrew's wedding day captured even more of what there is to love about this special Southern city. After a beautiful ceremony and reception, the rest, they say, is history. Congratulations, Amanda and Andrew!
