Smithville Texas Wedding. Samantha and Jake planned a beautiful December wedding at the Buescher State Park located in Smithville, Texas. And while their color palette incorporated traditional green and red holiday colors, they also infused rustic hues and touches to create a cozy, elegant feel that warmed every heart.
The paper suite for their wedding was also elegantly detailed and thoughtful. They wrote their vows in personalized books. And when it came to the invitations, they stuck with green envelopes with gold script and white invitations with gray text for an understated nod to the lively colors we often see in December.
Samantha’s gown was perfect for the outdoor ceremony. She chose a lace fit-and-flare style with small cap sleeves and a sheer back. In lieu of a veil, she wore her hair in a classic updo with small floral touches.
Her bouquet was vibrant and full of cheer with red calla lilies, red dahlias, burgundy scabiosa and more.
Her bridesmaids beamed in long red dresses, while the groomsmaids wore long blue dresses. And all carried matching bouquets tied with dark blue ribbons.
Other stand-out details include the bride’s burgundy velvet heels and colorful boutonnieres.
Jake wore a gray tuxedo and his groomsmen were equally handsome in dark gray pants – all with burgundy bow ties. For added personality, they all donned cool German Shephard socks.
Samantha and Jake married under a simple wooden arbor covered in hearty greenery of the season.
After saying “I do,” they strolled away to take their first photos as husband and wife. With the tall grasses swaying by their sides, they wrapped their shoulders in flannel blankets to capture the winter season on camera.
The indoor reception was radiant in dark blue and gold with generous candlelight and florals all around. Place settings included blue place mats, blue glassware, gold chargers and blue and gold place cards.
Their floral inspirations also included berries and pine cones for an added woodland touch on the white linen-covered tables.
Their charming naked wedding cake featured loads of wildflowers and a charming bride and groom cake topper.
The bride and groom had the look of love as they shared their first dance as husband and wife.
Samantha and Jake had a colorful and spirited wedding in December. While the air may be chillier and the trees a little more barren, there’s nothing like seeing a couple in love to fill your world with light and life once more.
