Sunflower Wedding at Lange Farm
Sunflower Wedding at Lange Farm. Alison and Zach first met while studying abroad in London and their romance blossomed when they were back stateside. After finding the perfect ring, Zach proposed to Alison during a hike to Fort Desoto, with their family and friends waiting in the wings to celebrate.
Their DIY-filled wedding day at Lange Farm was picture-perfect with a sunflower theme. The bright yellow flower made an appearance in unexpected places and was an ideal complement to the rustic-inspired event.
Alison wore a pair of embroidered cowboy boots to walk down the aisle. Her gown was strapless and she accessorized with a dainty necklace and sunflower in her hair.
Her bouquet also featured the central bright flower, along with white roses.
The pair met for a first look before the ceremony. For his special day, Zach wore light gray pants, a white shirt, patterned tie, and suspenders. His boutonniere was made with a sunflower, as well, for a seamless floral look.
The pair looked so sweet as they strolled the property hand-in-hand for a moment of quietude before the festivities began.
Alison’s bridesmaids wore short purple dresses in various styles and also carried small bouquets of baby’s breath and sunflowers.
The ceremony took place under a grand weeping willow.
The aisle was marked by two large barrels and small sunflower accents along the chairs.
Alison made her entrance in a vintage white truck. The two said “I do” in front of their family and friends underneath the gentle Florida sunshine. And a few horses made their way over, as well, to witness the blessed event.
Afterwards, the group took photos with their bridal party. Zach and his groomsmen gathered around the same truck from Alison’s entrance.
As the day turned into night, guests enjoyed dancing underneath strings of Edison lights and noshed on treats such as delicious fried macaroni and cheese balls. The reception featured DIY touches such as a card chest, chalkboard signs, lawn games, and "Mr." and "Mrs." chair signs.
This sweet and sentimental sunflower-themed wedding was as bright as it was beautiful. Congratulations, Alison and Zach!
