The Big Fake Wedding Baltimore 2015
The Big Fake Wedding Baltimore 2015. A fake wedding is a unique type of bridal show. It brings to life all the elements of a real wedding for the newly engaged but with ideas, fresh concepts, and up-and-coming elements from hand-picked vendors. It’s a hands-on way to see the industry’s best and brightest in action! The Big Fake Wedding Baltimore was a “Farmhouse Fete,” encouraging vendors and guests to literally take a trip outside the bustling city limits and enjoy a breath of fresh air.
The color palette served as a great source of inspiration. Navy blue, gold, green, and deep red are just a few of the hues seen throughout this event.
The invitation suite was the first glimpse of the type of event this fake wedding would be. Pastel flowers surround the lovely script for a soft appearance and warm introduction.
The Gramercy Mansion was the spot for all the fun. To complement the ambiance, the bride wore a classic tulle ball gown with a ruched bodice. She wore her hair down, curled to the side with a braid, and a statement necklace to complete the look.
Bridesmaids were outfitted with navy blue dresses. Their short hemlines, light fabric, and halter necklines were perfect for the country setting.
The groom and groomsmen all looked different and unique. The groom wore a navy blue suit, light blue shirt, and bow tie. One groomsmen sported a navy blue shirt, light blue jacket, and brown pants, while another wore a more casual gray vest and bow tie with a white shirt underneath.
The flowers offered an array of colorful options, including sunflowers, crespedia, assorted roses, and lots of greenery. The bride’s bouquet even featured a pheasant feather!
The venue has an amazing outdoor appearance with its lush landscape and gardens; therefore, the bride looked magnificent taking photos in front of the garden wall.
With all its beautiful pathways and ample space, there are many possibilities for stunning picture backdrops.
The fake wedding ceremony took place in front of a unique wooden wall with built-in planters. Attendees were able to see the wedding vision right in front of their eyes, from walking down the aisle to the recessional.
One fun find for attendees was the wedding favor – a chance to take home a packet of rosemary seedlings.
The couple had a first dance, just like at a real wedding, and guests got to celebrate and hear the tunes from an actual band. They also got to partake in home cooked food and even a sweet tea bar!
Attendees helped to fete the couple one last time with a beautiful sparkler exit – always a crowd favorite.
The Big Fake Wedding Baltimore truly showed another side of the city and its potential weddings nearby. From the sunflowers to the sunset, the Farmhouse Fete was an opportunity for those soon-to-be-married couples to slow down and take in something sweet and sentimental to hopefully inspire their own real weddings.
