The Carolina Inn Chapel Hill NC Wedding
Raleigh Bridal Shows : Chapel Hill, North Carolina is known for its sweet Southern charm and undeniable love for the UNC Tarheels. For avid fans Amanda and Brandon, marrying at the Carolina Inn, the only hotel on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, was a no-brainer. The historic location paired with a soft blush color palette made for a romantic and brilliant wedding day.
Amanda and Brandon chose to have a first look session before the ceremony. This quiet moment began with the couple inside the hotel. Amanda snuck up behind her groom, who was dressed in a charcoal gray suit with a white shirt and white tie. His blonde-haired beauty tapped him on his shoulder, revealing her gorgeous gown. It featured a sweetheart neckline with embellished floral details on a corset top and a fit-and-flare skirt. She adorned her hair with a beaded headband. It was a tender moment the two could share before the excitement ensued.
Amanda's bridesmaids all wore long sweetheart neckline dresses in dark and light pink. Brandon's groomsmen wore dark gray suits and coordinated with pink striped ties.
Under a Carolina blue sky, the bride, now wearing a long, simple veil, walked down the aisle to her groom. On the lawn of the hotel, the two said I do's in front of a beaming congregation of family and friends.
After the ceremony, Amanda and Brandon paused for a few more photos with their bridal party.
On the steps of the hotel, the couple now stood as husband and wife.
Their reception took place inside and was a bright and elegant affair. The checkerboard tile matched perfectly with the soft blush and white color palette. Gold chivari chairs were placed around blush-colored tables with white napkins and an assortment of tall and short pink and white centerpieces.
The cake was a sweet echo of the theme for the day, with three square tiers covered in delicate handmade sugar flowers. Ribbon bands wrapped around each tier and the entire confection sat atop a silver cake stand.
The couple smiled as they shared their first dance together surrounded by friends and family.
The best surprise of all was an appearance by the UNC-Chapel Hill mascot. For two huge fans, this was an unbelievable addition to the celebration. The couple burned up the dance floor with their guests and brought the night to a joyful close.
Incorporate the things you hold most dear into your one special day. Amanda and Brandon clearly love everything Chapel Hill represents and now, it's representative of an incredible memory they will share the rest of their lives. Congratulations!
