The Palace at Somerset NJ Wedding
The journey to Jamie and David’s Palace at Somerset Park wedding started on the football field at Monmouth University. She was the equipment manager, he was a football player and their beautiful relationship led to an epic proposal, a new Jeep for Jamie, and of course, a wedding. However, no cleats were used in the making of this New Jersey feat for their wedding was the epitome of low-key elegance. The color palette for their big day was ivory, pink, and green. Guests first got a glimpse of this through their sophisticated invitation suite.
Jamie is a blonde stunner so it’s no surprise her wedding day look was utterly gorgeous. Her blonde locks were pinned back in a sleek updo and her makeup was glamorous.
She wore a breathtaking lace fit-and-flare gown complete with an open back and unmistakable train. Her bouquet featured light pink and white flowers nestled in a bed of greenery.
Jamie’s bridesmaids looked radiant in long, V-neck blush dresses. The lovely group carried small bouquets plush with roses.
David was as handsome as can be on his wedding day. Dressed in a sharp black tuxedo and black bow tie, his smile was the perfect finishing touch.
Jamie and David chose to have a first look moment before the ceremony. With a piece of tulle covering his eyes, Jamie let go to surprise him.
They were elated and overjoyed to see one another, sharing a sweet kiss before the festivities began.
David’s groomsmen were also styled in black tuxedos and had a lot of fun supporting him before the ceremony.
The entire bridal party took a few group photos, as well, saving time and ensuring the fun could begin right away after the ceremony.
With the soft song of the harp in the background, Jamie walked down the aisle to David, who was overcome with emotion at the sight of his beautiful bride.
After a heartwarming ceremony, David broke the glass to signify they were officially husband and wife, and sealed the deal with a kiss.
Antique touches were plentiful at the reception. Gold keys served as escort cards for guests. Tables were decorated with gold décor like gold-framed table numbers, gold votives, and gold globes, along with small flower arrangements to tie in the pastel color theme.
The classic cake featured four white buttercream tiers. It featured curling designs on two tiers and the entire creation was sprinkled with small pink roses about the layers and top. And of course, the design wasn’t complete without the “Best Day Ever” cake topper.
David and Jamie enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife amid a room of loving onlookers. It was an incredibly sweet moment shared by two sweet souls.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the unbelievable venue or the incredible weather – it was the love and emotion felt by everyone involved. One look at this couple and you know they’re playing for keeps. Congratulations!
