The Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center Colorado Wedding . When the bride is from Texas, the groom is from Virginia, and they're getting married in their new home state of Colorado, wedding planning can get crazy. Fortunately for Peter and Alysse, friends and family were ready to help them create the wedding of their dreams. Tucked away in Boulder Canyon at the Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center, these two planned a fun family affair full of personalized touches. Alysse chose a pair of lace-inspired wedges for her walk down the aisle. This was an ideal choice since the event was held outside.
She channeled floral elegance in her bridal gown, with a strapless sweetheart neck fit-and-flare complete with a flirty pink belt. The fabric was textured lace and looked gorgeous next to her seamless floor-length veil. She carried a gorgeous bouquet with white garden roses, cranberries and assorted delphinium and greenery.
Guests were greeted at the ceremony with a beautiful handwritten chalkboard sign with all the members of the wedding party. Guests were seated in white chairs that flanked both sides of the stone path aisle with added flowers for decoration.
In front of a stone and wooden arbor and with the direction of a longtime friend of the bride, Alysse and Peter made their commitments official and left with a military salute.
Alysse’s bridesmaids wore a unique dark coral that paired beautifully with the blue, blush and red bouquets. The dresses were long and featured sweetheart necklines and ruched bodices to coordinate with the bride’s wedding dress style.
Peter looked handsome in a black tuxedo, black vest and black tie. His boutonniere featured a white rose and with Alysse by his side, they resembled a picture-perfect pair.
The couple embraced the location and held the reception where guests could enjoy the scenery. It was a personalized celebration with touches of both the bride and groom in many decorative elements. Guests could enjoy a game of corn hole with monogramed boards and find their seats with a charming twine and wood display.
The couple decorated their chairs with personalized Mr.and Mrs. wooden signs and paid homage to their home states with small signs devoted to Virginia and Texas.
A long reception table featured the same bold colored flowers from Alysse's ceremony arrangements. The flowers, housed in mirror glass vases, were held on slats of wood and featured candles and wooden table numbers. The arrangements sat on a lace table runner over a navy blue linen.
The cake was simple and sweet. One large round layer was covered with white buttercream rosettes. It was topped with a personalized touch of its own “ a handwritten banner with Mr. and Mrs. Ford and small flowers bordering the calligraphy.
Alysse and Peter love Colorado for many reasons and were excited to share their new state with those they love most. Although planning far away was not easy, this couple managed to pull off a marvelous event thanks to a lot of helping hands and hearts.
