You really need to consider your venue when planning your wedding. Kiley and John did just that when they planned their nuptials at the Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton, Ill. They added special details and made it a fancy yet relaxed affair.
Who really looks at the shoes of the bride and groom? Well, at this wedding you couldn't help it. The entire bridal party including the bride and groom wore sneakers. It was the perfect choice for this venue. The rest of their ensemble also matched the surroundings.
The bridal party looked just as relaxed. The groomsmen wore matching suspenders and vests. The bridesmaids wore short dresses. Both outfits definitely showed off their shoes. The bouquets definitely looked handmade. The bride's bouquet was different than theirs but was amazing. The flowers just looked stunning.
Let's start with the ceremony. It took place outdoors under a makeshift canopy. It was romantic yet rustic. The bridal party entered through a barn door in the field. You knew that you were outside but it gave the illusion that you were in a barn. It was a nice touch.
The bride wore a strapless gown that had beautiful applique in the bodice. It was stunning but not over the top. She complemented it with a necklace and bracelet. The groom simply wore suspenders with no jacket. They looked dressy but not fancy.
They carried the theme into the reception which took place in one of the barns. The cake was four tiers and had flowers which matched the bride's bouquet. The guest table cards were placed on a clothes line with clothes pins. This was a great idea and matched the surroundings perfectly.
This venue is very unique. Orchard Ridge Farms was started in 2006 by Richard Stanton Jr and Chrissie Stanton. It is comprised of 130 acres and includes an apple orchard, The Pavillion, The Copperstone Inn and several barns. The land has been certified as Wildlife Habitat M by the National Wildlife Federation. As you can see, you can have fun at your wedding.
