Virginia Estate Wedding
Virginia Estate Wedding
A true family celebration of love - that’s how I would describe Brenna and Lawrence’s wedding at the Great Marsh Estate in the summer. The bride and groom got ready with their wedding party, and they had their first look in front of the iconic house of the property. Though Brenna thought that Lawrence would be the one to get emotional, she herself ended up being the one tearing up! Afterward, we brought out the wedding party, who has been peeking from the inside of the house, for photos, what a fun group!
The ceremony was set at the courtyard in the back of the house. During the ceremony, Brenna and Lawrence honored and thanked their parents by giving thank-you speeches. Coming from an immigrant family myself, I couldn’t help but tear up with them as they recounted the times when they witnessed their parents sacrificed for them and the family in hopes to provide a better way of life in the US. Even more, tears came about when Brenna and Lawrence were sharing their personal and beautiful vows with each other. What a beautiful celebration of commitment and love!
While the guests were enjoying each other’s company at the front lawn of the house during cocktail hour, we took the couple to the iconic tree lines of the properties for some alone time. It’s so important to take some time and soak in the fact that you are married on your wedding day!
The reception was held at the stable of the property, decorated with intricate flower arrangements and candles. We took advantage of the beautiful sunset and roamed around the hidden open fields behind the stables, and boy was it worth it! Brenna and Lawrence even grabbed a donut from the Carpe Donut truck on the way back!
