Wilmington NC Boho Inspired Wedding Shoot
Wilmington NC Boho Inspired wedding shoot. If you need wedding inspiration, just step outside and breathe in your surroundings. That was the idea behind this styled shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina. The stylists created a beautiful Bohemian wonderland with the most natural of locations and eclectic, earthy touches.
The idea began with floral crowns. The bride wore a gorgeous crown with the boldest of colors: dark red, gold, purple and pink. It paired nicely with her lace fit-and-flare V-neck gown. She accessorized with large statement earrings, gold temporary tattoos and a bouquet bursting with stargazer lilies.
The groom was styled with a purple gingham shirt, black vest, striped bowtie and wildflower boutonniere tied with twine.
The ceremony space sat in a field with tall grasses and towering trees. Two wooden pews draped with afghans flank the aisle. A white arbor draped with greenery and flower arrangements sat at the altar with a unique archway and candle setting for added decor.
Native American culture played a large role in the design of this shoot. A lounge area was crafted with a beautiful teepee draped in stargazer lilies and greenery. Two white high back chairs, an oversized gold ottoman and additional decor created an inviting, organic atmosphere.
A vintage white table held the small handmade dream-catcher escort cards. They were displayed in various ways for an artsy and ingenious touch.
The wooden reception table featured a runner of greenery and lilies. Interspersed between the foliage were gold orbs and mossy touches. The wooden chairs also featured dream-catcher decorations for a continuous design element.
Each place setting featured a unique square golden charger plate, a white dinner plate and decorative petite dessert plate. Gold flatware and slim crystal flutes rounded out the ensemble.
The whitewashed cake table featured the same artistic arch from the ceremony space for a cohesive look.
A naked wedding cake was the ideal dessert for this event. Four tiers of sparsely frosted cake were decorated with figs and flowers and a small tray of cupcakes with fig garnishes made for an appropriately sweet finish.
Bohemian style isn't clearly defined or explained. It's about an effortlessly elegant approach for creating an experience and a feeling with simple, natural and innate ingredients. This styled shoot incorporated various elements brought together to create an everlasting experience told through fields of gold and trees of green.
