128 South Wilmington NC Real Wedding
128 South Wilmington NC Real Wedding. You are trying to decide where to get married. Do you have a place that you both love? It could be somewhere you have always wanted to visit or it could be where your relationship began. Even though Joel and Rachel do not live there, they decided to tie to knot in Wilmington, North Carolina because of the special meaning it had in their lives.
Joel and Rachel met when they were both reporters for the Star News in Wilmington, North Carolina. Their careers took them away but when they decided to get married, they came back. They chose 128 South in the historic downtown district which provided the perfect backdrop for this magical reunion. 128 South was a wonderful venue setting because of its historic significance. It is located in the Von Kampen building which was constructed in 1862. Not only is it one of the last examples of Victorian facade buildings but it still has the original stained glass windows. They embraced their surroundings and took pictures all over. But if you are going to choose a venue like this, you need to have more aspects besides the venue that fit the setting.
Rachel's gown was perfect. It was a beautiful strapless gown with amazing detail as well as a ribbon in the waistband. She had a lace heart from her mother's wedding dress stitched into her dress. But she was also trendy as well. She opted to wear flat sandals instead of white heels.
The bridesmaids wore short dresses.
Joel and the grooms men wore gray suits. Their ensembles blended in very well with the various colors of the city.
Even though the decor at the reception was quite elegant, they had some elements that fit the venue choice. The menu was on a chalkboard, the dessert table had so many goodies and the wedding cake actually made by the groom, Joel.
They did not leave in a limo but a vintage British taxi cab. It was the perfect way to end a special day.
Joel and Rachel had a magical wedding partially because of where they decided to get married. They had history there and they tied the knot in a historic location. If you want to feel that feeling, choose your venue wisely and start planning. Be creative and you can have an amazing day that will provide memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. 128 South Wilmington NC Real Wedding
