Christmas Inspired Engagement Session in Mississippi
Christmas inspired engagement session in Mississippi. For many, Christmas is set on the backdrop of a white winter wonderland. But for some, a more creative Christmas spirit has to be cultivated. Devon and Courtney are engaged to be married in 2015 and their Christmas inspired engagement shoot embraces feelings of comfort and joy on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The color palette for the entire shoot rested on gold, dark green, and blue. The stylist created a warm holiday display in their indoor studio with gold starfish and ornaments strung on small branches of driftwood. A bouquet for Courtney consisted of wintry touches like pine cones and evergreen sprigs, as well as local touches like painted seashells and balls of cotton.
The couple chose non-traditional Christmas looks but accessorized with red coffee mugs. Courtney wore a sleeveless light blue dress and added some flair with a bright red lip. Devon chose a white button-down shirt, dark blue tie and gray pants.
The couple posed in front of the driftwood backdrop, both sitting and standing. Their looks complemented the soft, neutral colors created in the studio.
Outside on the pier, their local community had a charming Christmas light bulb decoration. Courtney and Devon took advantage and stood in front for a sunny, sweet moment.
As the sun began to set, they made their way to the beach. They sat on the sandy surf on a beach blanket and took a few fun and carefree shots.
This shoot was interesting and all-encompassing for Courtney and Devon. Inside, they were able to create this Christmas experience that is so relevant to their home. Additionally, they took the shoot outside for a beachfront atmosphere that is also a big part of their Mississippi Gulf Coast lifestyle. It's like having two shoots in one. That's a gift, indeed!
