Destination San Juan Puerto Rico Real Wedding
Destination San Juan Puerto Rico Real Wedding. What do you get when you combine old world charm with exquisite details? You have a wedding that will blow you away. When Maria and Julian tied the knot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, they embraced the history of their surroundings but gave their nuptials a modern flair. Maria, who is by profession a Marketing professional, did a lot of the planning for the wedding herself. She used contacts that she knew in the industry as well as friends and family to pull off her wedding extravaganza. The venues that she chose were amazing. Julian and Maria were able to get married at the San Juan Cathedral which is located in Old San Juan. It is a magnificent edifice that was originally constructed in 1521. The initial structure was destroyed by a hurricane and the current building was built in 1540. It one of the city's oldest structures. The other venue was the reception that was equally fantastic. They selected the Casa Olimpia which is a secluded vacation villa in Rincon, Puerto Rico. It has wonderful landscaped grounds and beautiful balconies. It was an incredible choice. But the locations were only the beginning of this Cinderella wedding.
Maria definitely looked like Cinderella at the ball in her Oleg Cassini gown. It was a breathtaking creation with one shoulder styling and a magnificent tulle skirt. The lace and applique were also amazing. Her hair was so stunning with the jeweled hair piece and veil. She topped her outfit off with gold shoes.
Her prince charming, Julian, definitely looked the part in his tuxedo. They made such a gorgeous couple as they exchanged their vows and then walked throughout the streets of old San Juan.
But as we said this day was all organized by Maria. The photography was done by Ben Elass Photography, who is a personal friend. All of the desserts were courtesy of family and friends. Her cousin, who is local artisan, made the parting gifts for the guests. The reception was so elegant and looked so regal. The place setting was wonderful and they had classic but stylish floral centerpieces. Each table had the number in a picture frame.
But the desserts were the most amazing part. The wedding cake was four layers that had oblong circles with floral details.
Maria may have been a DIY bride but her wedding was an elegant affair. She showed that you can use the people that you know to have an amazing affair. We all have talents. We all have skills. She was able to garner the best from everyone to plan a day that she will cherish for the rest of her life. She had the wedding of her dreams and made it a family affair. There is nothing more special than that.
