Elizabeth contacted me to to photograph her wedding saying that she and Adam "were as engaged as they could be without a ring," and were waiting until he returned from deployment to make it "official." To help pass the time, Elizabeth started making wedding plans for a spring 2019 wedding at The Addison Grove, expecting that Adam would return sometime this summer and we'd schedule engagement photos after that. Well, to her surprise, Adam had unexpected time back in Texas and was able to surprise her with her ring and a week together! She contacted me explaining the situation and asking if there was any chance I had time available within the next three days. I had already postponed a bridal session due to forecasted 25mph winds, and responded with "if you're up for some possible strong winds, I have Thursday open!" and we made it work. 

Fortunately, along with the strong winds we had the prettiest sunshine, and Elizabeth and Adam didn't even let the crazy wind bother them because they were just so giddy to be spending time together! We took engagement photos a The Overlook at Lake Georgetown, just north of Austin and in Adam's hometown. After spending time along the trails and in a field, we finished up the session on the white rocks down by the lake.
