La Toundra Montreal Canada Wedding

Mireille married Philippe near the St. Lawrence River and celebrated with a reception at La Toundra near Montreal. And much of the credit for the beautiful and romantic décor was due to the bride and many of the couple’s family members, who willingly lent a crafty hand to make this day extra special. Mint green, birds, and Birchwood were the central elements to the couple’s wedding day vision, as evidenced by their lovely invitation.

Mireille was escorted down the aisle in a lace strapless gown with a voluminous skirt. Philippe was waiting under the canopy of weeping willows in a tuxedo gifted to him by his grandfather 13 years earlier.

The bridesmaids wore mint green dresses, and the groomsmen sported mint green ties, sewn by the bride, herself. Mireille’s sister officiated and delivered a touching and meaningful ceremony.

After their first kiss as husband and wife, the two made their way to the reception, pausing to take photos along the way.

The couple’s creativity with their wedding theme was definitely front and center. They cut out small paper birds as place cards for guests, who were encouraged to “find their perch.”

Centerpieces were fashioned out of mason jar flower arrangements and pieces of Birchwood that held small tea lights. And not to forget their love of mint, the couple gifted each guest with a “Love is Brewing” mint tea favor to enjoy after the wedding.

Their wedding cake was aptly designed with white ruffled fondant, small floral décor, and a topper made from two pieces of Birchwood with their initials and date written in the center.

By harnessing their creative spirits and ingenuity, Mireille and Philippe were able to have the wedding of their dreams. In countless ways, their day was colorful, charming, and heartwarming – and best of all, made with love.
