Michigan Real Wedding From LinneaLiz Photography. No matter what's trendy, what's in style and what's new, elegant flowers will always endure as classic wedding staples. For Michigan couple Rebecca and David, designing their wedding day with beloved blooms was a no-brainer. Whether they were flown in from Alaska or arranged by the event planner, the lovely floral additions created a breathtaking, organic backyard event.
Before the ceremony, Rebecca and David opted for something very popular in recent years: a first look. Sneaking up behind her groom, Rebecca was ready to surprise with a lace, embellished fit-and-flare gown. The beading on the top was seamless next to the flowy, chiffon skirt. Her hair was styled in a sophisticated updo and topped with a beautiful, cathedral-length veil. In her hands was a bouquet with a myriad of pink, purple, peach and white colored flowers, from peonies to poppies.
Her groom turned around and showed off his gray suit with black vest and tie. He added a boutonniere that was made with rose buds in a hearty red and soft purple.
Just as the rain stopped, Rebecca and David said “I do in front of a handmade arch, complete with the same flowers that were seen in the bride's bouquet. With the dark green forest surrounding them, the colors of the flowers were spectacular. Not to mention, they were some of Rebecca's favorites.
The reception took place in a tent outside. With the rain holding off, guests feasted on a plethora of beloved Michigan delicacies, including Michigan Harvest Salad, Sauteed Chicken with Michigan Cherry Vin Blanc Sauce and much more. Guests were greeted with handmade signs spelling out the entire menu and where they should be seated.
And sweets were not left out! Not only were guests feted with a crepe station but also, with large, generous and delicious cupcakes.
Many neutral shades were present throughout the reception that only made the flowers and accompanying details project even more, from the gold chargers, table numbers, and lights to the black bridesmaid dresses, white cupcakes and white linens. They were impeccable complementary shades to the pastel colors of the all-important flower arrangements.
Before guests retired, they took advantage of a photo booth provided by the couple as a way to make some memories and say Thank You for being a part of their special day. But really, who could ever forget this incredibly beautiful, yet natural occasion?
Congratulations and best wishes on a blossoming, beautiful life together, Rebecca and David!
