Vancouver Canada Wedding From Vanessa Voth Photography
Nearly two years ago, Luna and Ayo committed to each other in a tranquil, heavenly ceremony at the Fairview Baptist Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, followed by a lovely teal and white reception. This wedding was the definition of simplicity and rejuvenation. The couple took ample opportunity to take photos near the water, in front of the Vancouver skyline, as well as in front of the infamous fountains at the Queen Elizabeth Park Quarry Gardens.
Luna looked radiant in a one-shoulder, satin fitted gown, which featured a splendid, simple train. She wore a floor-length veil that perfectly framed her soft, spiral curls and carried an illustrious bouquet of solid white orchids.
Luna’s bridesmaids looked truly exceptional. Emulating the one-shoulder style, the ladies wore floor-length gowns that featured ombre teal fabric, subtly shifting from dark to light. There was divine beading around the top of the dresses, which hugged against the ruched fabric. Each lady wore her hair in a fabulous updo and carried small bouquets of white lilies.
The bride walked down an aisle lined with orchid-filled hurricanes. Waiting at the alter was her groom, Ayo, decked out in a classic black tuxedo, complete with a black bowtie. He wore a simple teal pocket square and an orchid boutonniere. His groomsmen wore black suits with teal ties and pocket squares, along with orchid boutonnieres. Their understated looks still gave an air of sophistication while letting the groom shine in his own sharp style.
The couple was feted by a reception held in a classic ballroom. Along with their attendants, they sat at a head table, which was draped in teal table linens, and topped with white flower arrangements and votive candles. The round reception tables for guests featured white linens, teal table runners, and white chair covers detailed with teal tie backs, pulled together with sparkling silver clasps. Guests were seated at tables named for important human virtues: kindness, joy, goodness, gentleness, and love.
The wedding cake was simple and classic, with three round white tears and beaded detail around the bottom of the layers. The couple also tied in their beloved blooms by adding soft touches of white orchids. The creation sat atop a silver tray and bold, teal table linen.
This wedding was virtuous and resplendent with genuine emotion and heartfelt details. A wedding day should say a lot about the couple and this glorious display of love and devotion says innumerable things about Luna and Ayo. We wish this delightful couple continued happiness and love!
