Montevallo Alabama Rustic Wedding
Montevallo, Alabama, is home to the American Village, an historic and enlightening institution that offers an abundance of educational opportunities, as well as wedding inspiration. Caitlin and Philip chose the site for their nuptials and it was a rustic and romantic experience from start to finish. On a bright and sunny day, the couple and all of their loved ones ascended on the gorgeous property.
Caitlin chose teal for her bridesmaids and the ladies wore long strapless sweetheart gowns.
Caitlin loves accessories. To go along with her sparkling diamond, she wore white wedges, sipped from a special “bride” glass, and gifted all of her bridesmaids with matching robes and bracelets.
Her gown was a V-neck lace creation that she paired with a lace veil, as well. All of the ladies carried plush bouquets full of white and pink blooms that were the perfect complement to the teal wedding color.
For his wedding day, Philip wore a black suit and black polka dot tie. His groomsmen wore black, as well, and accessorized with light gray ties. Delicate rose boutonnieres completed their looks.
After a heartfelt ceremony, the entire group celebrated in the barn, a popular place for events and receptions at American Village.
Guests were greeted with various handwritten signs, a vintage card box, and small mason jars with flowers that spoke to the rustic inspiration behind their big day.
The gorgeous beams of the venue were dressed up with light from rows of Edison bulbs. Round reception tables were decorated with white linens, teal table runners, and a collection of votives.
Their cake was a charming, casually-frosted creation. White buttercream and a personalized cake topper were all they needed for their dream dessert.
Caitlin and Philip set up a unique station for guests to commemorate the big day. Not only did they ask them to sign a guest book but they also set up a camera so guests could take a selfie. How fun!
With guests seated at their stables, Caitlin and Philip enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. One couldn’t help but notice the tender smiles across their faces.
The gentility and Southern charm of this day was evident from the outset. Caitlin and Philip basked in the glow of wedding excitement. Each was wrapped up in the love of their treasured guests and the arms of their new lifelong partner.
