Portovenere Italy Wedding
Portovenere Italy Wedding Photos. One picture of a window set off the idea for Marcelle and Chad to elope in Portovenere, Italy. The two jetted off with very little plans. Marcelle’s mother helped design and make her fitted gown with ruching and lace. Chad purchased a sharp Calvin Klein suit. And aside from securing a photographer, the rest of the day was left up to spontaneity.
The couple spent the morning of the wedding working out and exploring local shops. It was then that they happened upon a flower shop and although initially closed, they were able to get the owner to assemble a colorful bouquet for the bride.
Marcelle and Chad didn’t even see their ceremony location, picked by the photographer, until they walked down the stone steps near Doria Castle.
Chad found his spot overlooking the gorgeous Mediterranean and Marcelle walked down to him to the familiar sound of Bright Eyes’ “First Day of My Life.” And after the intimate ceremony and a memorable photo shoot, the bride and groom enjoyed a magical dinner for two.
For an event that requires extensive planning for most couples, Marcelle has only one thing to say about her stress-free elopement - “best choice ever!”
It was the fairytale neither Marcelle or Chad ever planned.
