Quantum Leap Winery Orlando Florida Styled Shoot. The Italian Carnevale is the last celebration before lent begins on Ash Wednesday for Italians. Celebrations occur all across Italy that includes masks, confetti, colors and light. For one photographer who missed home and everything Italia, this styled shoot was the realization of a bold component of the Italian culture. The Quantum Leap Winery in Orlando, Florida, was the perfect location to style a room with bright colors and masked brides in gorgeous gowns.
Because Italy is synonymous with wine, the barrel room was the perfect starting point. Three brides, each masked and wearing a completely different gown, set the tone for the shoot.
The color palette consists of orange, fuchsia, gold and red. The tablescape is mesmerizing with tall gold candelabras and large central flower arrangements, textured pink sheer table linens, white and gold place settings and red leather chairs.
Orchids of pink and orange, along with orange roses, create an energetic floral arrangement. The varying heights, lengths and textures make for an interesting dynamic.
The stemware on the table is designed with both fuchsia champagne flutes and gold-rimmed glasses. Fuchsia napkins with gold starburst rings sit atop gold chargers and white plates. The table also has pink rose petals sprinkled about the design.
Each setting features a large white plume to mirror the Carnevale theme. In the center of each plate is a round purple menu card. Additional table details include small pink jars of pink orchids, a purple and gold invitation and small porcelain masks.
The first bride has a bouquet with both light and dark purple roses. She wears a gown with a modified sweetheart neckline with sheer straps. The bust is heavily beaded and the skirt is full of soft tulle. Her hair is styled in a sleek top bun and she accessorizes with a bright red lip and statement dangling earrings.
Even the desserts are perfectly detailed! A small chocolate pastry has a dusted gold pattern on the outside and topped with an edible gold detail with a lilac sugar flower.
The second bride also embraces beading. Holding a cascading purple orchid bouquet, this brunette beauty wears a ball gown fit for an Italian princess. The strapless V-neck has intricate beading on the bodice as the skirt is dramatic and voluminous with layers of artistic ruffles.
The dessert table is almost too pretty to touch. The tempting gold and purple treats are displayed on beautiful cake stands and in tall vases all in front of a collection of wine barrels.
The details are exquisite. Each display on the table is different. Various ribbon combinations and signs are placed on each separate item.
The chocolates feature gold patterns and chocolate-covered strawberries are dipped in gold and purple edible glitter.
The bride is seated near the wedding cake. Her fit-and-flare gown has a V-neck and open back with beading down the side. The waist is accentuated with a small highlight and the hem is beaded in an elaborate pattern.
Place cards feature a purple and gold border with characteristic fleur de lis. The cake beside her is five tiers of exquisite fondant. Purple ruffles, large pink flowers with gold leaves and a gold tier topped with a mask is cake artistry at its best.
The final shot of the day shows all three brides together in collective Carnevale fashion. Each lady dons a gorgeous beaded mask and emulates a feeling of carefree fun. Each dress is different and showcases the style of the individual bride.
Carnevale is all about lively spirits, bold colors and a celebratory experience. Even a winery in Florida can transform into a beautiful Italian event. With the vision from a passionate photographer, this shoot was the stunning embodiment of an essence created exclusively by the Italian culture.
