San Francisco California Wedding. If you have a talented family member, why not tap them to contribute to your big day? San Francisco bride, Annie, leaned on her mother's talented artistry to create enchanting floral arrangements for her and Anthony's down-to-earth wedding day.
Simplicity was the key to this California couple's nuptials. They wanted the occasion to be all about family and friends so they relied heavily on the venue's decor and natural beauty to create a beguiling event. Annie knew who to turn when it came to the flowers: her mother. Her mom's skill was put to use to craft a bouquet of orange lilies created out of latex! The flowers look unbelievably real and life-like and they also held up very well against touch and the weather. She also created the groom's billy ball boutonniere and center pieces at the reception.
Annie looked elegant in an ivory lace gown, with a satin ribbon waistband. She had a long, flowing train and wore a perfect waist-length veil. Her elegant updo and dainty earrings made her look completely romantic and picturesque. Her bridesmaids wore strapless steel gray dresses and for a pop of color, carried yellow lily bouquets. Each lady wore her hair down and the contrast to the bride was stunning.
Anthony opted to greet his bride in a black, three-piece suit with a white shirt and golden tie. His groomsmen took it down a notch and stuck to gray jackets and pants with the same vivid-colored tie. Flashing their pearly whites, they looked charming and handsome at the front of the aisle.
The couple said their vows in the middle of the Shakespeare Garden, with trees and brightly-colored poms verged on each side. The goal was to merely enhance the natural splendor of the venue, not overpower it and the look was exquisitely achieved.
Their reception was held at the De Young Museum. The affair was contemporary, yet classy with modern furniture and windows, along with tender votives and centerpieces. Tables were draped in white linens, which allowed the yellow flowers to make quite the statement. The venue naturally has really eccentric lighting, which matched the decor of the wedding with hues of orange, red and gold.
The round two-tier cake featured slim bands of fondant for sleek style and a simple orange iris on top. They also had a few small delicacies to share, as well, including raspberry tarts and delicious drinks.
Annie and Anthony let their focus be on friends and family, and they've created amazing lifelong memories. It's like Leonardo Da Vinci said Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!
