Dallas Wedding by Ben Q Photography
Elegance was the chief inspiration behind Andrea and Robert’s Dallas wedding. They planned a traditional, heartfelt ceremony followed by a stylish and sophisticated reception, inspired by blush, gold, and the abundant greenery that surrounds. Andrea and Robert have a serendipitous love story. They both attended Winona State University; however, they never met as students. Unbeknownst to them, members of their bridal party were even mutual friends. It wasn’t until they both happened to move to Dallas that their paths would finally cross. And as fate would have it, after one year of dating, these two were meant to be together forever.
Their wedding color palette included romantic blush, white, and metallic gold tones. The bouquets and boutonnieres also boasted a beautiful green to tie it all together.
Andrea enjoyed getting ready with her best girls by her side.
She chose a flattering and tastefully modest gown with flutter sleeves, a fit-and-flare silhouette, and loads of gorgeous beading. She accessorized with statement earrings and wore a veil in her classic updo.
Her bridesmaids all wore long strapless one-shoulder blush dresses. They carried bouquets with white and pink roses and lovely eucalyptus. They made a beautiful group.
Gray was the color of choice for the guys. Robert and his groomsmen all wore gray suits and black ties – a perfect choice for a warm day. Pink boutonnieres capped off their ceremony looks.
The couple were wed at All Saints Catholic Church. The rain gently fell and tapped against the grand stained-glass window. Their ceremony was emotionally stirring and heartfelt with every word.
They were elated to be pronounced as husband and wife. After the ceremony, the entire group gleefully blew bubbles and enjoyed the disappearance of the rain, and the welcome sunshine.
Andrea and Robert took photos outside before the reception.
The couple looked splendid standing beneath the trees, taking a deep breath before the next part of the celebration began.
Their reception took place at The Room on Main. A gorgeous venue, it boasts 30-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Dallas skyline and Fair Park.
Gorgeous centerpieces were placed on the reception tables. The arrangements included beautiful pink roses, white hydrangea, greenery, and curly willow for texture.
Tablescapes were beautified with smaller arrangements, white linens, gold chargers, and menu cards. One long table was also set off with a gold textured table cover and tall all-white centerpieces.
One unique detail for their reception was a trendy chair tie. The blush fabric contrasted wonderfully with the dark chivari chairs for quite a statement style.
The couple enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. And Andrea made a smart adjustment to her look – she switched her veil to a shorter style for an easier glide across the floor.
The cake was a creation designed with an attention to simplicity and refinement. Three crisp white tiers and one gold casually frosted tier were stacked and topped with small bunches of colorful flowers atop a gilded gold cake stand.
The couple provided homemade favors, a custom playlist that the guests helped to create, and an ice cream sundae bar. At the end of the night, the couple couldn’t help but feel surrounded by love and warmth from family and dear friends.
Andrea looks back so fondly on the big day that she almost wishes she could relive it. However, being married to Robert is certainly the best part and a definite dream come true. Congratulations, Andrea and Robert!
