Monumental Church VA Styled Shoot
Monumental Church VA Styled Shoot. Photographer Jessica Maida fell in love with Frida’s creative expression while studying Spanish in Mexico and used this to fuel her inspiration for a styled shoot at the Monumental Church in Richmond, Virginia.
The shoot incorporates two contrasting looks. The first is a realistic interpretation of Kahlo’s own unique sense of style with a long handmade floral skirt, flower crown, and bold red lip.
The bride is surrounded by stunning self-portraits along with the brightest flower arrangements.
The second look shows a much softer side.
The bride wears a strapless lace gown and carries a bouquet full of pastel-colored roses and succulents.
Her makeup is soft and her hair is pinned in a neat updo as she waits patiently at the wooden arbor.
Several notable additions are also incorporated to enhance the creative element including paper flowers for the coral-colored cake, the vintage easel, the endless swags of greenery, and the laser-cut invitations.
