Trinity United Methodist SC Wedding
Anna and Peter's wedding in Charleston, South Carolina, was the epitome of classic. With a ceremony at the Trinity United Methodist Church and a reception at the historic Hibernian Hall, there was an air of elegance from start to finish. The invitation suite was a seamless preview of a classic and brilliant event, capped off with a traditional white color scheme and sweet script.
The bride’s style can be classified as timeless. For her walk down the aisle, Anna chose a pair of white peep-toe heels. They peeked out from underneath a lace fit-and-flare gown, complete with lace straps and a satin waistband.
The blonde-haired beauty carried a picture-perfect bouquet complete with ivory and blush garden roses, white hydrangea, and a delicate touch of dusty miller. She accessorized with a chapel-length veil and a pearl bracelet.
Her bridesmaids looked lovely in long blush dresses with strapless sweetheart necklines. An adorable flower girl wearing a white dress with a blush sash rounded out the beautiful group.
Peter and his groomsmen kept to tradition and wore black tuxedos with white rose boutonnieres.
It was a splendid day for a wedding at the grand Trinity United Methodist Church in Charleston.
With her long veil trailing behind her, Anna was escorted down the flower-strewn aisle to her awaiting groom.
The grand pillars and luminosity of the church was a gorgeous backdrop for the couple’s traditional ceremony.
They said “I do” in front of friends and family, and left hand-in-hand with beaming smiles and a palpable enthusiasm for the celebration ahead.
Outside the lovely church, the couple and their bridal party took photos. They walked on Charleston's famed cobblestone streets to head to the reception venue.
The reception was a blush and gold dream. Tables were decorated with both tall and short flower arrangements with hydrangea, orchids, and curly willow, and gold votives.
Gold chivari chairs accompanied the white linen-covered tables for an extra glimmer.
Anna and Peter enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife with all of their loved ones surrounding the dance floor.
The cake was a simple but statement creation. Four clean white tiers were covered with a giant gold-edged flower on the front – almost too pretty to eat!
After hours of dining, dancing, and dessert, the couple was ready to call it a night. Their guests wished them farewell with a sprinkling of rose petals as they made their exit.
Southern weddings are steeped in tradition and this South Carolina affair proved that even in 2016, classic elegance and timeless touches will never go out of style. Congratulations, Anna and Peter!
